Houston player Ahn wins at Tierra Verde; $10K to the winner and $25K in BONUS CASH to be paid at WinStar

Congratulations to Sun Ahn from Houston, TX, who won the Saturday event at Tierra Verde under very windy conditions with a net score of 70. Sun (6 hcp) won $1450 as he and very consistent and improving player Steven Buchanan (0.3 hcp) were the only players to beat par. For all the players who saw such low scores at The Tribute last weekend, a net score of 76.7 cashed a check this weekend...such is the nature of golf and thereby such is the nature of the FairWay Tour! We are very excited to announce the tour will pay $25,000 in bonus cash and $10,000 to the winner of next weekend's Tour Championship with a minimum 44 players. If there is a full field of 60 players, the FairWay Tour will pay up to $75,000 to its members next weekend alone! This would bring the 2012 payout to well over 600,000. There have been 1047 one day net rounds played so far and 455 2-day major rounds. The scoring averages for these rounds are 77.8 and 76.5 respectively. The leading money winner, Kyle Henley, has cashed over $30,000 in checks when you include the bonus cash he will earn. We hope you can play in next weekend's Grand Finale for 2012, The FairWay Tour Championship. This event will be 27 holes per day at the 27-hole WinStar Golf Club. The course is located directly behind WinStar World Casino, the second largest casino in the world, on I-35 1 mile north of the Red River. This event is worth TRIPLE BONUS POINTS. Entry deadline is 5PM Wednesday. We hope to see you at WinStar because "If you don't tee it up you can't WIN!"
