Trophy Club and Walden this week as Jerod Turner leaves no doubt at Sky Creek Ranch

Congratulations to Jerod Turner, who moved back into the top 10 on the all-time FairWay Tour money list with a win at Sky Creek Ranch last weekend. Jerod set the bar high with an opening round 66, which was a net score of 68.5 for the +2.5 handicap. He followed that up with a second round 69, then added the day 2 handicap of +2.9 for a net score of 71.9. The 2-Day total of 140.4 was clear of the field by 4 strokes and the only net or gross score score under par for the tournament. Jerod is now 10th on the all-time money list with total earnings of $57,016, mostly earned before making his break to the PGA Tour by winning the 2009 Nationwide Tour Championship and earning his PGA Tour card before injury set him back. Ok, so it would have been tough to top his performance, but can you shoot a net score of +5.1? Yes, that would have got you in the last place money position for this event! One thing is for sure, you have to PLAY or we will never know if you can achieve great things on the course because..."if you don't tee it up you can't win!" Great job Jerod you seem healthy now! The tour is excited to bring its members two fine golf courses this week. Thursday afternoon in Dallas, we will be playing Trophy Club, which is in great shape. Saturday afternoon in Houston, the tour plays one of its favorites and a consensus top 5 toughest course in Texas when we go to Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club. We hope to see you this week at one of our quality events because..."if you don't tee it up you can't win!"
