Super Major #3 @ Thorntree CC this weekend pays minimum $5K to winner w/20 or more players!

The FairWay Golf Tour will play its 3rd Super Major of the season this weekend at Thorntree CC in DeSoto, TX, just south of downtown Dallas! Thorntree CC was built in 1983 and has played host to numerous PGA Tour and Sectional qualifiers as well as two Super Majors. Jeff Seibert won this event in 2007 with a net score of 146.5 and Sam Melendrez in 2012 with a net score of 145.8 on the par 72 layout. Could this weekend mark the first time in 15 years someone breaks their handicap in a 36 hole event at this course?? Last week, the tour played two fine golf courses in Timarron CC and Kingwood CC, with low handicappers (make that REALLY LOW!) winning both events. Zach Rezentes fired an even par 72 and added 1.7 strokes to that for a winning net score of 73.7 (+1.7 wins $1598!) at windy Timarron Thursday while Saturday afternoon @ Kingwood CC, Albert Miner fired a 67 and added 2.5 strokes to that for a 69.5, good enough to tie Scott Newton's 69 with .5 strokes added for 69.5. And it's not like hi handicappers didn't have a chance. At Timarron, Matt Kardash tripled the last hole with an 11.4 hcp to lose by 2.9 strokes. And at Kingwood, Bobby Stark bogeyed 16 with a 7.1 hcp and lost by 4 tenths. If you haven't noticed, the FairWay Tour handicap system is really tight! Week after week so far this year, with the only exception being Jackson Ogle's brilliant 7 under 65 at Rose Creek (a record 9.7 stroke win), there have been multiple chances for multiple people to WIN coming down the stretch! Take a look at the results! We hope you will give yourself a chance by playing Super Major #3 this weekend at Thorntree CC because..."If you don't tee it up you can't win!"
